refund policy

Last Updated: December 15, 2025

A cancellation occurs when the couple submits a written request to Clip Collective at hello@clipcollective.com asking to cancel their event and deactivate their account. Refund eligibility is determined based on the date this written request is received.

More Than 30 Days Before the Wedding Date — Full Refund
Cancellations received more than 30 days before the scheduled wedding date are eligible for a full refund of the amount paid.

Within 30 Days of the Wedding Date — 50% Refund
Cancellations received within 30 days of the wedding date are eligible for a 50% refund, as project preparation and editor allocation begin during this period.

After the Wedding Date — No Refunds
After the wedding date has passed, no refunds are available. At this stage, Clip Collective has already reserved editorial time and workflow resources for your highlight reel.

Rescheduling Your Event
Your purchase may be transferred to a new wedding date only if editor capacity is available for that date. If capacity is unavailable, or if you choose not to reschedule, the request will be treated as a cancellation under Section 2.

Incorrect Wedding Date Entered
If an incorrect date was entered during signup, Clip Collective allows a one-time correction at no cost, provided editor capacity exists for the correct date.

Refund Eligibility Does Not Reset
Changing your wedding date does not reset or extend refund eligibility windows. Refund timelines are based on the original wedding date entered at purchase.

Clip Collective is not responsible for:

  • How many guests upload content
  • The quality of uploaded content
  • Whether guests choose to participate

A highlight reel will be created using whatever footage is available once editing has begun.

Refunds are not available for unused, inactive, or expired events. If a wedding date passes without uploads or without event activity, the purchase is considered fulfilled through platform access and reserved editor capacity.

Definition of "Material System Outage"
A material system outage is defined as: A confirmed, platform-wide issue affecting all users for more than 24 consecutive hours, preventing all uploads. Short-term interruptions, device-specific issues, guest connectivity issues, and disruptions under 24 hours do not qualify.

Resolution for Material Outages
If a qualifying outage occurs before your wedding date, Clip Collective will work with you to determine a fair resolution, which may include:

  • Troubleshooting support
  • Rescheduling (if capacity allows)
  • A partial refund (case-by-case)

Each Clip Collective purchase includes the creation and delivery of one (1) highlight reel per event. Additional highlight reels, edits, alternate versions, or extended deliverables are not included unless explicitly purchased as a separate service or upgrade.

Creative Judgment
Highlight reels are created using guest-uploaded content and follow Clip Collective's creative guidelines. Creative style preferences, music choices, pacing, or subjective taste differences are not grounds for a refund.

Satisfaction Review
If you are unsatisfied with your highlight reel, Clip Collective will review concerns on a case-by-case basis. Possible resolutions may include:

  • Minor adjustments (when feasible)
  • Technical fixes
  • Re-exporting the video

This review does not guarantee any refund.

No Partial Refunds After Delivery
Partial refunds are not available once the highlight reel has been delivered.

Editorial work is considered to have begun once:

  • An editor is assigned to your event, and
  • The project has entered Clip Collective's internal editing workflow system.

Once editorial work has begun, cancellations, date changes, or duplicate charges may no longer be eligible for full refunds.

Fraud, Error, or Unsupported Use
Clip Collective may refuse or revoke service and deny refunds for events created fraudulently, in error, or outside the intended use of the platform.

Accidental Duplicate Purchases
If you accidentally purchase Clip Collective more than once for the same event, a full refund of the duplicate charge will be issued, as long as editorial work has not begun.

Price Basis
All refunds are calculated based on the price actually paid at checkout, including discounted or promotional pricing.

By completing your purchase, you agree to this Refund Policy, as well as our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. These policies appear during checkout and must be acknowledged before payment. Unauthorized chargebacks may be disputed using this policy as reference.
